Painting, oil on canvas 40/30

The color of the glass, at times in combination with the tint of the liquor within the bottle or the bottle behind it, changes the sunlight and the resulting spectrum of colors unabashedly dominate the foreground of the wooden bar. Compared to this, the buildings of lower Manhattan stand muted in blues and grays, and play willing backups to the dancing sunlight. The century old bridge connects the two as if mediating the relation between opposing ideas or personalities.
